A Whidbey Island native, Lino moved to Seattle in 1997. He obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree as well as a Spanish degree from the University of Washington. He spent time living in Granada, Spain and North Shore Oahu, Hawaii. Lino currently resides in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle and he and his wife are expecting their first child in May 2016. Lino is passionate about community building, the outdoors, and good food. He dedicates himself to helping his community and has been a volunteer snowboard instructor for SOS Outreach for the past 16 years. He was awarded the Volunteer of the Year by this organization in 2014. Lino also finds time to manage a local wine storage facility for Seattle restauranteur, Ethan Stowell.
ESR Cellar is a full service, secure wine storage facility located in the Kolstrand Building on Ballard Avenue. As an extension of Ethan Stowell's Staple & Fancy restaurant, the space also has a private cellar room available for hosted gatherings and special events. Members get waived corkage in the event space (with easy access to your wine!) as well as monthly waived corkage vouchers for all Ethan Stowell restaurants with a yearly contract.
With membership you also have access to our special wine club offerings. Each month our wine director selects a handful of wines that can be purchased right here on our website and delivered directly to your storage locker. A monthly catalog will be emailed to all members with full descriptions of the wines.
SOS Outreach serves 5,000 at-risk youth between the ages of 8 and 18 annually. As a youth development non-profit, they use year-round, outdoor sports to engage underserved students in long-term mentor based relationships. Their core value curriculum integrates outdoor experiential learning, character development, community service, values-based leadership development, social justice advocacy, and peer mentoring. Through each of their programs, SOS participants are encouraged to transform themselves and others for the better using their six core values of courage, discipline, integrity, wisdom, compassion, and humility. SOS operates under special use authorization of the White River National Forest.
